Angelwing Begonia is a truly stunning plant that is native to the tropical rainforest. Benigo has bronze leaves with pink speckles and pink blooms. Large showy leaves and blooms that hang in clusters like grapes make these Begonias one of the most wonderful plants for horticulture. They perform well in both shade and bright light locations. We also offer these Angelwing Begonias as URC (unrooted cuttings).
Angelwing Begonia is a great landscape plant. For best results, plant 1 plug per 4in pot and pinch at 3 weeks. Put 3 plugs per 10in basket and pinch at 5-6 weeks. Plant these Begonia liners in well-drained soil, and try to keep the pH of the soil between 5.5 and 6.5. Use low feed until spring then medium feed as days lengthen. As the days get longer the Begonias will finish more rapidly.
Cuttings vary in size between different plant families, but most can be described as tip cuttings (ivy are leaf-and-eye stem cuttings not tips) that stick nicely
in small plug trays such as the 105-plug tray we use (some varieties are better suited for a 50 cell tray, i.e. Angelwing Begonia, Bougainvillea, Setcrecea, etc.). Please do not order unrooted cuttings unless you are an experienced propagator with mist systems and proper temperature control.
