For best results with Surfinia Summer Double Salmon, plant one seedling per 4-inch container or three per 10-inch basket. Use well-drained soil with a pH of 5.5-6.0, temperatures of 65-75 daytime and 55-60 nighttime, and medium feed (200 ppm N). This plant is most successfully grown in cool temperatures with high light and moderately dry soil. Provide daylight extension to 14 hours at 4,000-6,000 fc. This plant responds to B-Nine if needed. Pinch 4-inch containers once and 10-inch baskets two or three times. You may see whiteflies, thrips, aphids, and leafminers. Botrytis can occur especially in partial shade or on cool, humid days.
