True Boson Ferns are one of the most popular house plants in US history. They grow to lengths of 3 feet long and 6 feet in diameter. Boston Ferns are easy to grow and can really put on a show if you plan enough time to finish them properly. Start them in the summer or fall to sell next spring and you will have a monster product compared to the big-box stores.
Boston Ferns thrive in loamy, acidic soil that is well aerated and well drained. You will want to keep the soil evenly moist, but don't allow it to be come saturated for a long period of time. Different stages in plants growth, temperature and a sun conditions will mandate different watering regimens. Try to water early in the morning as the temperature is still rising. Avoid watering in the middle of the day when the sun is high as this could damage the fronds.

Cuttings vary in size between different plant families. These rooted starter plants will arrive ready to be transplanted in to your final container. If they are to be used in a landscape application, you will need to establish them in a 4 inch pot or an 1801 before planting outside.
