General Growing Tips For Your Rooted Cutting Liner
For best results with Catharanthus Soiree Kawaii, use well-drained soil in full sun with a pH of 5.4-5.8, EC of 1.0-2.0, and moderate feed (200 ppm nitrogen). Plant 1 rooted liner per 4-inch or 6-inch container. You may see whiteflies, aphids, thrips, and mites. Watch for botrytis, thielviopsis, corynespora, phytopthora, phythium, and rhizoctonia. Soiree Kawaii Coral Reef is easy to care for and, even in extreme heat, requires little more than regular water.
Half to 1-inch coral-colored flowers bloom from spring through fall.
Pinching is not required. If you do pinch this plant, be sure to maintain two nodes at all times.
Space containers 6-8 inches apart for proper airflow.
Soiree Kawaii Coral Reef doesn't require chemical growth regulators. B-9 at 2500-5000 ppm is most effective if you choose to use them.

Kawaii is the most prone to disease of the three Catharanthus Soiree varieties. Watch for root rot and fungus; botrytis, thielviopsis, corynespora, phytopthora, pythium, and rhizoctonia are most common. Prevention is the best treatment for these common greenhouse diseases.
1. Water plants in the morning at the base of each plant. Allow the top of the soil to dry out between waterings.
2. Provide sufficient airflow and sun penetration by spacing containers properly. We've also had success with using fans to increase airflow in the greenhouse.
3. Treat botrytis with Medallion and Banrot as a drench according to the instructions on the label.

Planting Soiree Kawaii Coral Reef Liners
We suggest planting one rooted cutting per 4-inch or 6-inch container. Use well-drained soil and completely bury the ellepot in the center of the pot.
Rooted Cuttings Cuttings vary in size between different plant families. These rooted starter plants will arrive ready to be transplanted in to your final container. If they are to be used in a landscape application, you will need to establish them in a 4 inch pot or an 1801 before planting outside.
