Native to Mexico and certain parts of South America, Angelonia, or summer snapdragon as they are sometimes called, have become very popular as summer annuals in areas with bright light and warm temperatures. Angelonia are good bedding plants and can be used in containers because they hold their bloom spikes up above the plant (similarly to snapdragons, thus the common name). Angelonia have an upright habit and can reach up to 18 inches tall.
We offer assorted liners of Angelonia in which we select 35 plugs of each variety to fill your tray. Our varieties have blue, pink, and purple hues. Propagation is prohibited for this plant.
To achieve best results with angelonia, use well-drained soil in full sun. Allow 4-6 weeks for four inch pots. It may be necessary to pinch once. Watch for aphids, thrips, and spider mites.
Cuttings vary in size between different plant families. These rooted starter plants will arrive ready to be transplanted in to your final container. If they are to be used in a landscape application, you will need to establish them in a 4 inch pot or an 1801 before planting outside.
