Description:
The True Boston Fern grows to lengths of 3 feet and makes a great container or hanging basket.
General Growing Tips:
Ferns like loamy, acidic soil and moderate temperatures. Most like shade. Keep soil moist but not soggy. One plant per 4" pot will finish in 8-12 weeks at a 60 degree night temperature. Baskets can be planted from one established 4" pot to full baskets in 12-16 weeks. Watch for brown scale, and do not allow ferns to become crowded.
Planting Schedule for a 10" Basket:
--In the summer of 2007, plant one plug per 4" pot. --In the fall of 2007, plant one 4" pot per 10" basket to finish in the spring of 2008.
