Description:
These plants have full double (rosebud-type) flowers on plants bred to grow full and compact. They hold their blooms up on top of the foliage (not under a leaf.) Our carousel select series are proven varieties with superior genetics for horticulture use.
General Growing Tips:
Grow in medium light and well-drained soil. Keep the pH of the soil between 5.5 and 6.5. To grow the best plant, never feed at more than 150 ppm nitrogen. Florel at young stage of plants (perhaps 2 weeks after planting) is good to promote lateral branching. Florel may defoliate older plants so be careful. Watch for spider mites and thrips. These plants are susceptible to fungi and viral diseases. Clean growing practices and careful monitoring are necessary. 4" pots need one plant per pot pinched at 2 weeks and spaced from onset of planting. Growing pot tight will stretch plants. This crop will be ready in 6-8 weeks. 10" baskets will need 3-4 plants per pot with 10 weeks until finish.
