This attractive plant commonly called the Springeri Fern grows well in sun or shade. It has an upright sprawling habit that makes it useful in landscape applications or in pot culture (although not winter-hardy). A native of Southern Africa this variety handles drought very well (the plants make tubers). Watch for aphids and mites.
Plant 1 plug per 4in pot at 50 degree temperature with low to medium feed. Plant 3-4 plugs per pot in 10in baskets.
Cuttings vary in size between different plant families. These rooted starter plants will arrive ready to be transplanted in to your final container. If they are to be used in a landscape application, you will need to establish them in a 4 inch pot or an 1801 before planting outside.
