Purslane love the sun and are perfect for warm seasons It is relatively easy to grow in more northern climates, including the New England area in the United States; it grows very well in hot and dry summer months. Portulaca Pazzaz are vibrant and exhibit intense colors with a floriferous nature and compact growth habit.

Growing Tips

For the best results with Purslane, grow at 60 degree for 8-10 weeks. Try sticking these unrooted cuttings directly into baskets. Purslane must have bright light. One of the best plants you can grow in hot sunny locations. Plant 2 plugs per 4in pot with one pinch after planting. Plant 7-10 plugs per 10in basket. Purslane is a tough plant that stores water in it's succulent leaves. Watch for aphids.

Rooted Cuttings

Cuttings vary in size between different plant families. These rooted starter plants will arrive ready to be transplanted in to your final container. If they are to be used in a landscape application, you will need to establish them in a 4 inch pot or an 1801 before planting outside.
