Lantana are a hummingbird's delight! They are fragrant natives of Tropical America that are great in landscapes (hardy to slightly below freezing) or containers (will drink a lot of water in containers). Lantana plants are evergreens of the broadleaf variety. Although they may act like vines, Lantana are, technically, shrubs. These plants can be grown as evergreen perennials. In fact, the shrubs are considered invasive plants in Florida landscaping and in other warm regions. In more northerly zones, they are treated as annuals, allowing us our own little piece of "Florida landscaping" -- albeit short-lived. Propagation Prohibited.
To achieve the best results with Lantana, use a well-drained soil with moderate feed and a lot of sun. One plug per 4in pot pinch at 3 weeks. Plants respond well to Florel (to develop lateral branching). Only young plants should be treated with Florel because it may defoliate mature leaves Watch out for white flies and mites.

Rooted Cuttings

Cuttings vary in size between different plant families. These rooted starter plants will arrive ready to be transplanted in to your final container. If they are to be used in a landscape application, you will need to establish them in a 4 inch pot or an 1801 before planting outside.
