Lantana is a hummingbird's delight! They are fragrant natives of Tropical America. Lantana are great in landscapes (hardy to slightly below freezing) or containers (will drink a lot of water in containers). Good for 4in or 10in pot. Megans Gold is similar to New Gold but with large yellow early continuous flowers. Makes a nice hanging basket. Propagation is prohibited.
To achieve the best results with Lantana, use a well-drained soil with moderate feed and a lot of sun. One plug per 4in pot pinch at 3 weeks. Plants respond well to Florel (to develop lateral branching). Only young plants should be treated with Florel because it may defoliate mature leaves Watch out for white flies and mites.
Cuttings vary in size between different plant families. These rooted starter plants will arrive ready to be transplanted in to your final container. If they are to be used in a landscape application, you will need to establish them in a 4 inch pot or an 1801 before planting outside.
