This tropical Hibiscus has large red blooms and dark green foliage. To achieve the best results with Hibiscus, use well drained soil with moderate feed (200 ppm nitrogen) allow soil to dry moderately between watering. Plant 1 plug per 6in pot and pinch at 4 weeks or use chemical growth regulators. Left untreated the plant will grow leggy in humid greenhouse conditions. Plant 3 plugs per 3 gallon container and allow 12 weeks to finish (don't forget to pinch). Watch for aphids mealy bugs white flies.
Cuttings vary in size between different plant families. These rooted starter plants will arrive ready to be transplanted in to your final container. If they are to be used in a landscape application, you will need to establish them in a 4 inch pot or an 1801 before planting outside.
